Growing Bromeliads - small plant 10 cm high, with about 20 fine narrow green leaves covered both sides with greyish scales,
which forms a neat rosette. Striking when in flower, bracts are bright reddish purple, petals violet blue. A hardy species
but variable in size.

I was just browsing your bromeliad pages. I haven't found the one I am
trying to identify, but I do believe I know the id of one of your
unidentified tillandsias. I believe the "thin spidery" one, #4434, is
T. juncea from mexico to guatemala. I bought mine from tropiflora in
sarasota.
